“Married to Aamir Khan only formally on parents’ insistence”

Mumbai: Bollywood director Karan Rao has said that she only formally married superstar Aamir Khan on the insistence of her parents and that’s why the marriage did not last long.

According to Indian media, Karan Rao said in his recent interview that I was in a ‘living in relationship’ with Aamir Khan for a year and then my parents forced me to marry Aamir. Insisted.

Karan Rao said that I and Aamir Khan were also under pressure from the society because in our society it is not considered good for a man and a woman to live together without marriage, so I only formally married Aamir Khan on the insistence of my parents. Decided and then we were married.

He said that married life is very difficult for women because after marriage, all the responsibilities fall on a woman, she takes care of the house and children alone, takes the whole family along, and makes her in-laws happy. There is also a responsibility to keep, a wife is expected to be friends with her husband’s family and in my view these expectations are wrong.

Kiran Rao said that for me these responsibilities are biased and dangerous, because of these unnecessary responsibilities most women fear the name of marriage.

He added that these responsibilities were also the main reason behind the divorce of Aamir Khan and me, but even after the divorce, we both are best friends and are raising our son together.

It should be noted that in 1996, Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta, with whom he has a son, Junaid Khan, and a daughter, Aira Khan, but after 16 years of marriage, the couple got divorced.

After his divorce from Reena Dutta, Aamir Khan married Karan Rao for the second time in 2005, with whom he has a son, Azad Khan.
